Acceptance of these terms

These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of pipeleakfix.com and to every service provided by PipeLeak Fix. By using the website, requesting a quote or booking a visit, you agree to these terms. If you are booking on behalf of someone else, such as a tenant or company, you confirm that you have authority to do so.

Our services

We provide leak detection, pipe repair and replacement, emergency leak repair and related plumbing repairs for residential and commercial properties. The exact scope of each job is described in the quote or job confirmation we give you. Information on the website describes our services in general terms and does not form part of a contract on its own.

Bookings and appointments

A booking is confirmed when we agree a date and time with you by phone, message or email. We aim to arrive within the agreed time window, but traffic, emergencies and earlier jobs can cause delays. If we are running late, we will contact you as soon as possible. Emergency call-outs are attended in order of urgency and safety.

Quotes and pricing

Leak detection visits are charged at the rate confirmed when you book. Repairs are priced after diagnosis, and you will receive a written quote before work begins. Quotes are based on the information available at the time. If we discover hidden conditions that change the work required, we will stop, explain the situation and agree any revised price with you before continuing. Quotes remain valid for fourteen days unless stated otherwise.

Access, safety and your responsibilities

To allow us to work safely and efficiently, you agree to:

• provide safe access to the work area, the main stop valve and, where needed, the water meter and distribution board
• tell us about any known hazards, previous repairs, building restrictions or shared supply arrangements
• obtain any permission needed from a landlord, building management or owners’ association
• move valuable or fragile items away from the work area where reasonably possible
• ensure an adult is present at the start and end of the visit

Payment

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, payment is due on completion of the work. Commercial customers with an agreed account will be invoiced on the terms stated in their account agreement. Where specially ordered parts or materials are required, we may ask for a deposit before ordering them. A receipt or invoice is provided for every payment.

Workmanship and materials

We carry out work with reasonable skill and care, using materials suitable for your existing system. Repairs are pressure tested before the supply is restored. If a problem arises with our workmanship, contact us promptly. We will inspect the repair and, if our work is at fault, put it right at no additional cost. Manufacturers’ warranties apply to supplied parts according to their own terms.

Limitations of the service

Please be aware of the following:

• Leak detection identifies the most likely source of water loss based on the tests carried out. Some conditions, such as intermittent leaks or leaks within inaccessible structures, may require further investigation.
• Temporary repairs made during an emergency are intended to make the system safe until a permanent repair is completed and are not guaranteed as long-term solutions.
• We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, hidden defects in pipework we did not install, or failures in parts of the system we did not work on.
• Making good of walls, tiles, flooring and decoration is not included unless it is specifically listed in your quote.

Liability

We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for business losses of commercial customers beyond the value of the work, or for damage caused by delays outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Use of this website

The content of this website, including text, graphics, logos and layout, belongs to PipeLeak Fix or is used under licence. You may view and print pages for personal use but may not copy, reproduce or republish content for commercial purposes without our written permission. You agree not to misuse the website, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or submit false or malicious information through its forms.

Cancellations and refunds

Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds are covered by our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the place where PipeLeak Fix is registered to do business. If you have a complaint, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it quickly and fairly. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by discussion will be handled by the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your booking applies to that booking.
